Castrucci Gallery: Olivier Models at Union College

Union College’s Permanent Collection includes an extremely unique collection of Theodore Olivier’s stringed models, used for demonstrating the relationships and intersections of geometric shapes in space. This collection is the largest single group (forty-six) of Olivier models to be held in one collection around the world. The models on display in Castrucci Gallery were recently conserved as part of an ambitious project, initiated in 2015 by former Union College President, Stephen Ainlay and the Permanent Collection, to conserve the entire collection.  Read more about the Olivier Models...

Lamont House

Requested for use in teaching, several groups of works from the Bronze Collection and Roman Glass Collection are on view in Lamont House. Objects can be found in display cases on the first floor, in room 102, as well as on the third floor. These artworks are part of the College’s Permanent Collection, a term used to describe the collection of art that the College has amassed over its more than 200-year history. Both the bronzes and the Roman glass vessels were donated by Union College Professor Emeritus, Carl George.  Read more about these collections...
